Environmental education

Empowering communities through environmental education, sustainable livelihoods, and local leadership.

We work alongside educational centers, communities, and local organizations to promote a culture of conservation that endures for generations.

Learning with purpose

Each action strengthens the connection between communities and their environment, ensuring a conservation legacy that endures for generations.

Key actors

We work collaboratively with schools, environmental groups, families, and community organizations, as well as volunteers, strategic allies, and institutions such as the Ministry of Public Education (MEP) and the National System of Conservation Areas (SINAC).

Lines of action

We develop environmental education and citizen science processes, community training, and support for local initiatives. We implement workshops, training sessions, participatory activities, and exchanges of experiences that connect knowledge with concrete conservation actions.

Results focus

We seek lasting changes in the relationship between communities and their environment, strengthening knowledge, capacities, and local leadership so that children, young people, families, and organizations actively participate in protecting the biodiversity and natural resources of the Osa Peninsula.

Investing in education is investing in the future of Osa.

Your support allows more children and young people to learn, participate, and lead actions to protect their natural heritage.

Building life together

Each program is part of a larger conservation ecosystem. Discover how they work together to protect Corcovado.
